Junior Training Camp

2019 Annual Junior camp
6 - 8 July 2019 at Camp Kerem, Bullsbrook

The yearly training camp takes place in the July school holidays for our junior members, and is run by our accredited coaches. We provide for a wide range of orienteering abilities. The camp is suitable for young people who enjoy orienteering, want to learn more about it and have a fun time with other young people. The camp is open to orienteers aged from 10 to 17 years who have participated in at least one bush event or NavDash event in addition to any school events.

To attend the camp you need to be a member of Orienteering WA.
Full 2019 Camp Information and Registration Details are available HERE.

Training Events

Weekly training sessions that will help prepare you both physically and technically for orienteering competition. Contact the OAWA Coaching Convenor for further information and subscribe to the Enews which provides details of weekly training sessions through out the year.

Michal Hubacek our Coach in Residence is going to run interval trainings on Thursday nights at Garvey Park. Arrive 5:15pm for a 5:30pm start.
We hope this location is central enough that many of you can make it, but not so central that you all get caught in the worst of peak hour traffic.
It would be great if we can get a good turnout to this training night as building a good training group helps with motivation and makes these sessions more fun.
As it is getting dark fairly early at this time of the year it may be worth putting a headlight in with your gear.
